Harvard's Nieman Journalism Lab today lays out the Banyan Project's pilot project efforts in Haverhill, Mass. See  http://www.niemanlab.org/2012/07/banyan-project-planning-its-first-community-owned-news-co-op/

And it calls attention to Banyan's Spot.us campaign, which is nearing its end. So please, if you've got a extra bucks in your charitable giving budget and you're inclined to help this project along, now's the time.  And if you've already given, please take a couple of minutes to alert like-minded friends by forwarding the Nieman Lab stiory.

    Thanks!
