  • What role does Stanford's endorsement of the Settlement Agreement mean, given their original partnership with Google?

According to University Librarian Michael Keller,"The electronic age brings about the potential for such extraordinary and effortless access to information."

Does easy access win out over privacy?  Is this merely a case of capitalizing on Zipf's law - people will put the least amount of effort into their search at the cost of quality and, in this case, privacy?

  • Although I'm sure Spot.us could do a good job with this, it is a very high profile national story that will recevie tons of coverage from both private, public and non-profit news gathering organizations. At the very least, this should be done in partnership with other groups.

My feeling is that Spot.us would be better off funding stories with more localized impact.
