Everyone should really participate because we are talking about federal budget and power in here. It is not a thing that must be set aside. This is done once in a decade so I think it is not a waste of time if we give at least ten minutes to answer the form. A lot of people wonder what Census required answers are on the 2010 Census. There is a good point to the US Census, as it establishes how many people live where, which is important. It's a short form just complete it. It isn't as if it's unpleasant or something unfair for the government to know.
I'm glad that there is help for HTC areas, the forms could get very confusing. This highlights how important it is for everyone to be counted. I hope that this inspires everyone to fill out their forms ...which reminds me, I will fill mine out tonight! Thanks Denise!
I'm really glad that finally the Census organizers are "thinking outside the box" and that biracial & multiracial folks can rightfully be counted as so. It has always been a pet peeve of mine when they only have one category for Asians - uh, Chinese and Japanese are two entirely different cultures. My hope is that all of the readers will take the time to fill out their forms accurately, now that they have an opportunity to actually be counted accurately. This article and the fact the Census folks made this change should inspire others to fill those puppys out. If not, it's going to cost us taxpayers even more to get counted. Great job on the article Denise.
I'm glad to see there's census coverage and that you're covering some of the basics and issues. I hear people say they don't understand why the census is important and I think they should read these stories. It doesn't matter what culture or race they're from, the numbers translate to dollars and in this economy we can't overlook any type of funding. Thanks Spot.Us. Look forward to learning more.
