About Tom Turner

Tom Turner is Editor at Large for Earthjustice. Born, raised, and educated in Berkeley, California. Served two years in the Peace Corps in Turkey (1965-67). Worked at Sierra Club 1968-69, Friends of the Earth 1969-86, and Earthjustice/Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund 1986-2008. Author of Wild by Law, the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund and the Places It Has Saved (Sierra Club Books,1989); Sierra Club, 100 Years of Protecting Nature (Harry Abrams, 1991), and Justice on Earth, Earthjustice and the People It Has Served (Chelsea Green, 2002).

Spot.Us is an open source project to pioneer "community powered reporting."
