I have enjoyed a good run as a digital media entrepreneur over the past thirty years. My current passion is NewsTrust.net, a social news network devoted to good journalism. Some of my other notable ventures include: Handtap, a leading-edge wireless service for mobile phones; shockwave.com, a leading web entertainment site which I help launch and run at Macromedia; Apple's Multimedia Lab, where we pioneered new media applications; and Videowest, where we created a new genre of video journalism for ABC and MTV. I was recently elected an Ashoka Fellow for my work as social entrepreneur to inform and engage citizens with NewsTrust.
