Like the topic--some advice on the tipI would like to see an article on this subject, but think the tip would garner more info if it were more news-like. For instance: Some Democratic party activists have expressed concern that the leading candidate, John Burton, has a history of playing hardball and that this may be the reason why announced candidates against him dropped out of the race. Chris Finnie, a grassroots activist from the time of the Dean campaign, has stepped into the breach to challenge Burton, citing the need for an open participatory party. Some of Burton's supporters have taken his case online to listserves with a letter attacking his detractors. This race would seem to have repurcussions for civic engagement in the Bay area and beyond and that's wehr Spot.us can help with its committment to good investigative reporting. on: Nothing |
