I am using a pseudonym as I did on Billmon's blog back in early 2000's because I do not want to be trackable through Internet (except to Sunlight Foundation, Spot.us, Public Accountability Initiative, or the like).
I currently work for a company which is aligned with some of the companies you investigate - every day I open McKesson software and did not know about them (SF-based, etc.) Most of my working career has been for academics (UCLA, NYU, etc.), attorneys, or corporate figures - when I lived on coasts I worked in organizations which said to me "you fit with us," meaning I met their profile and could keep information confidential. As I have aged, I've been more and more shut out of any hope for advancement and am currently waiting to be laid off in an area with few employment opportunities for middle-aged office support workers except the defense sector. At the same time since moving to Midwest, I've seen that almost all the jobs require subordination in the global corporate structure and silence/acquiescence about the same. You are defined as trouble or crazy if you question it, and unemployable. so you can see - I'm not using my own name. I wish I could be an analyst on Little Sis sort of, though mostly I wish I could work for a think tank or social change organization. Until I get "adopted" - highly unlikely so far - by a principled person of my generation who cares that I'm unemployed, I don't want to reveal who I am. Good for you that you're doing this work! I tell friends who are more comfortably off but appalled by events (i.e. healthcare issues) about the transparency/media work going on on sites like Spot.us, Little Sis, etc. Can't promise they'll fund you but we can try, can't we! best regards
