Liana Aghajanian is a journalist from Los Angeles covering news, culture and more, who would perpetually love to be in a newsroom. She currently works full time as a content editor by day at a new media company and as a journalist for various online and print publications by night, including The Glendale News-Press and The Burbank Leader. She was previously a reporter for The Outlook, a community newspaper in the Los Angeles area, where she reported on city council and other community issues and produced special editorial sections of the paper.
During her spare time, she is also publisher, editor and writer of ianyan, an online magazine of Armenian news, features, opinions and more.
In addition to journalism, she is deeply passionate about human and animal rights, education, health, politics and cultural issues.
She is currently working on a piece about Silva Harotonian, an Iranian aid worker of Armenian descent who is being held in Evin prison without due process in Iran.
