About Susie Cagle

Susie has written and drawn for American Prospect, Truthout, Campus Progress, the Awl, the Hairpin, the Bay Citizen, the Rumpus, Cartoon Movement, McSweeney's, 7x7, the Media Democracy Fund, and many others. (You can see most of this stuff on my site.)

She was formerly the SF Appeal's editorial cartoonist. Her work has been featured on BoingBoing! and the Huffington Post. This year Susie started the Graphic Journos (graphicjournos.com) collective of reportage illustrators, in order to raise the profile of our growing medium.

Before her cartoonist life, Susie was a words reporter and editor for outlets across the country. She has a Masters in magazine journalism from Columbia, which still doesn't offer a cartooning class.
