About Patrick Burke

I'm a cameraman, editor, and reporter based in Los Angeles.  My recent work has been for NBC-Universal's Last Call with Carson Daly, Daniel Weintraub's HealthyCal.org, MTV.com, The New York Times, and small, independent companies.

From May 2003 to November 2008, I worked full-time for KPFK-FM, the Pacifica station in LA, starting as News Editor. During my time there, I raised journalistic standards and expanded local coverage, with two years as News Producer and over two more as News Director.  My highlights at KPFK include a 45-minute face-to-face with former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, weekly election panels, and an in-studio debate between Supervisorial candidates Mark Ridley-Thomas and Bernard Parks.

I’ve also interned at WBUR-FM in Boston, volunteered at KPCC-FM in Pasadena, and filed national stories with Free Speech Radio News.  Prior to getting into radio, but after Hampshire College, I spent several years as a camera assistant and operator.

My website, burkepost.com, has audio and video samples, as well as my resume.  Please enjoy a look around.
