About Rebecca Glaser

I've just returned to the United States from Hyderabad, India, where I lived for nine months as a Fulbright research scholar. My project was to design and implement an arts-based curriculum for underprivileged youth to communicate their stories beyond language barriers. In India, I worked with several schools and principally at a children's home called the Sphoorti Foundation. The framework for this project was built during my time in San Francisco; I worked at an afterschool program in the Mission, teaching art & ecology to young children, as well as at  a travel guide as a writer and translator. I spent 6 months in Central America, continuing to write for the travel guide from Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Panama before traveling to India (I'm glad to report that I was able to travel there, too). I graduated from Oberlin College in 2007 with a BA in Comparative Literature, French, and Politics.
