About Catherine Traywick

I am a freelance journalist interested in advocacy journalism—in articulating social justice concerns through dynamic, well crafted editorial media. My work had appeared in Ms., Hyphen, the Huffington Post, and a few other regional publications.

Beginning in Fall 2011, I will be a Master's student at U.C. Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.

Defending the Rights of Filipino Health Care Workers, Ms. Magazine, December 2010 In an unlaw­ful and unjus­ti­fied sweep, 43 health workers–including two preg­nant women–were detained nine months ago in Morong, Philip­pines.
